It all started as a simple dream and became a lifetime of passion.
The 356 was built from Porsche and was the first. It was built to look like Volkswagens beetle. The 356 was an image for Porsche. They would make them for every single purpose (for example racing, car shows or just plain street). Every year when it came time to put a new car on the market Porsche would add some little things but would not change the look of the Porsche 356. The engine of this car is located in the rear.
After the 356 model Porsche came out with the 911, which is probably still the most popular Porsche today. The first was the 912, which did not have as much power as the 911 but had the same body. There were a number of models for the 911 there was the 911 coupe which had the same exact body as the 912 and there was a Targa which has a hard top over the driver and passenger that could be removed for almost like a convertible but the back seats would still be covered with windshield. Then there was the 911 turbo which had almost the same body as the coupe but was wider because of the bigger flares it also had a much more powerful engine reaching 60 mph in 4.2 seconds which the 911 coupe could only reach 60 mph in about 6.1 seconds. The engine in all of the 911s are located in the rear. Another car that is pretty much a 911 is the slantnose which is like a turbo except the front of the car is flat and they have attractable headlights like the 944. The rear of the car is almost exactly like the 911 turbo.
There is also 959 model, which is the most powerful car that Porsche made. The 959 are illegal to drive on the streets of the US because the car did not meet bumper regulations. The 959 was built to match a race that you would be able to drive on the street. The does 0-60 mph in about 3.7 seconds and the top speed is about 197 mph though there not many streets that you can reach such high speeds. The 959 has a totally different look from the other Porsches. It has a very wide body like the 911 turbo. The 959s engine is located in the rear of the car.
The 944 is a totally different car than the 911 it has totally different look and it drives totally different. The engine of the car is in the front of the car and which the 911 has the engine located in the rear of the car. There is a good amount of trunk space in the rear. The only problem with that is if the cars trunk is loaded with stuff you cannot see out the rear window. The 944 turbo has a much more powerful engine from the 944. The 944 can go from 0-60 mph in about 8.3 seconds and the top speed is about 130 mph. The interior of the 944 is totally different from the 911 in the 944 you sit more back in the seat and it feels like you sit a lot lower but you really dont.
The 914 is a make of both Volkswagen and Porsche this car has a totally different look to it from the rest of the Porsches. The 914 is a 2-seat car again unlike the rest of the Porsches that all have 4 seats. The engine sits about a foot behind the driver. The 914 has a lot of trunk space for the size of the car. This car actually has two trunks, one is located in the front of the car and the other is located behind the engine. The roof of this car is like the targa with a removable hard top. Porsche used the 914 to race and they would also be used for street. The 914 is very well known for its unique handling. The 914 is probably the smallest out of all the Porsches.
The next car is the Porsche 928. The 928 has some similarity to the 944 because of its flat front. The headlights on this car are much different from the ones on the 944 these headlights are a good sized round circle with no cover on them when you turn them on the headlights flip up. Like the 944 the trunk space is in the rear of the car. The 928 has the same factory wheels like the 944. The wheels are called phone dial wheels. The rear of the 928 is sort of round sort of like a bubble (or it could be called bubble butt). The 928 is called the shark because of the way it is designed.
The 968 is sort of a mix between the 944 and the 928. The front end is sort of like the 928 because of the headlamps and the front end. The 968 headlights sit a little higher than the 928s though. The rear of the 968 is more like the 944 because of the spoiler and because the way the rear lights are positioned. The wheels are 5 spoke and are not the same model as the 928s and the 944s. The instrument panel and the seating is sort of a mixture the instrument panel is more like the 944s and the seats are more like the 928s.
